I have been planning to replace the 3-gallon water heater in Brunnhilde with one that has electronic ignition. Some brave NAFTA James Cook owner had successfully in doing this conversion but as what all involves was not well documented. For example, did he have to move the 120Vac to 12Vdc inverter to make room for the 4-gallon water heater?

in good shape - brunnhilde part 9
I almost decided to not to mess with painting the North American specific RV utility ports. I was afraid of what I may regret of having removing the craps that Airstream put on and cause catastrophic consequences.

in good shape - brunnhilde part 8
Brunnhilde have been treated to much pamper today. Gently washed from head to toes, body massaged and all.
in good shape - brunnhilde part 7
Long before I contemplated painting Brunnhilde's exterior plastic trims I priced the cost to replace them. If memory serves the total cost of all the bumper fascia, end caps, and the two rear wheel arches totals about $1700. At the time I thought I might just spend the money to restore the fresh look. However I consider that how poorly they stand up to the elements I decided $1700 is a poor investment having to replace them every 5 years or so (judging from the rate of fading I observed). I decided to paint them instead.
