As I gave more thoughts to the number of different planes the system components have, I am seeing more challenges in getting the copper plumbing measure, cut, and solder right. I also need to change the orientation of a few components. As I want to get it perfect the first time and avoid having to redo some fittings, I have to proceed with care.

My much anticipated online order of hydronic plumbing parts finally arrive after a week from the East Coast. I had no disillusion that despite my well laid plan and countless check and reviews that it will need a few iterations to get all the parts procured. Having the physical parts is necessary to lay them out and check for accuracy and fits against my schematic. While I can lay out the parts on a mockup set on the floor it is only 2D. The actual plumbing installation is a 3D real world.

One thing that I learnt very quickly since moving out into the country is what I used to take for granted of able to go buy anything with ease when the needs arise is a distance experience. A round trip to the closest well stocked stores takes 3 hours drive, plus the time shopping. Most often the things I need can only be procured by special order, or a 6 hours round trip driving into the cities. I am now forced to be more precise and planning ahead. Well compiled shopping lists are essential, and patience pays in avoiding unnecessary waste and inflated costs.

My previous neighbor gave me this Hallo Kitty and I had been wanting to mount it but never have a right place for it. 

GE refrigerator failure - part 1

In order to write about the current failure of the GE refrigerator I had to write what happened in January of 2021 when I was preparing to take a cross country trip to inspect and buy a race car in Florida. To my horror there were two potential showstoppers threatened to derail my departure.
