wall finish for the barn - part 2

With thick plywood used as wall panels, it takes patience, skills, and precision to install them to achieve good result. Every cut counts as there is no drywall mud or molding to cover up the transitions or sloppy measurement and cuts. I often measured 2 to 3 times and triple check the markings before committing to powering up the saw.
All the planning of the utilities, their installation comprehending the wall panels would soon reveal how well I've done from the initial drawing board, design, and installations. As most of the utilities had to be installed before these panels goes up, any mistake would require reworking them which may include relocating them.

The most challenging part of the wall panels are to cut around the windows and doors openings, as well as the water, gas, and electrical power utilities. Any trim or molding around the windows and doors also must be taken into account precisely.

here is a situation around a windows that need to be cut around precisely

accommodating a propane gas outlet

this is for a part of the window opening

you can see how warp of a typical panel

the pile of panels had been worked down

when running the armor cables I plan ahead for more outlets around these two windows

this wall section has the most utilities that needs to be accommodated; it is where a kitchenette and a full bath were planned; it is also the network central for the barn and much of the networking of the entire property up to the front gate 1/4 miles away

I left this wall section as one of the last to tackle as it is where all the utilities and IT network originates for the barn and the rest of the ranch are concentrated. Once the plywood panels go up there is no access to what are behind them. Further, all the utilities running on the girts need to be protected from the self-drilling screws.

to clear up the wall section I moved all the easy to damaged network system to this improvised location so they are out of harms way

the fiber optics cables are the most delicate and damaging one would be very costly to recover

after sorting all the utilities the vapor barrier is replaced for the last time

for this wall I worked from right to left instead as I want to be able to remove the panel at the sub panel to add circuit without needing to remove other interlocking panels

the 5 port propane manifold would be hidden behind the plywood wall but yet all the ports must be accessible

the slot is for the propane manifold outlets
