The new air conditioner arrived by freight today.
un-crated - nice looking as expected
only the top cover is a bit flappy, but hay this is US RV product that has been value-engineered the hell out; the 4 screws and washer appears to be very decent quality however
the soft plastic cover has the thickness of cheap laundry basket
everything inside is pretty decent and the evaporator cover/housing is too; the bottom tray is very sturdy made of glass-reinforced plastic
as most US RV AC are designed to have the condensate just drip onto the RV roof, this one is no different; you can see the drain holes at all sides of the glass-reinforced plastic bottom tray; the small square box with a slot on two sides are for the optional condensate pump - without the pump the condensate will rises in the square box until it overflows from the two vertical slots
the vibration rubber mounts on the compressor, the condenser fan, and the evaporator fan all seem pretty decent and adequate
i could not find a wiring diagram; only this electrical parameter label
another closeup of the value-engineered to shit top shroud
My only complain is the flimsy top shroud so far. I would be willing to pay $20 more to have a more substantial cover that it will have to endure the assault of the elements.
Persistence pays off. I just found the wiring diagrams - I had tried before to no avail.
mach 8 ac - non heat pump
2-speed adb
