asia trip, 2011 - hong kong

It is such a distant memory now. As far as I can recall this was my last top of my Asian trip in the winter of 2010 and 2011.
Most of the photos were taken in To Kwa Wan  土瓜灣 neighborhood of Kowloon, which even the Kowloon city dwellers have long considered as the armpit of the peninsular. And if you are interested, Kowloon was considered the armpit by the superior Hong Kong Island, especially the central and the mid level. It is one of the most interesting neighborhood of Kowloon, but not for much longer in the name of progress.

this old cow's slaughter house has long been decommissioned and eventually converted into artists' studios

a few bites of Hong Kong street food snacks

the remainders photos are what once thriving Kai Tak International Airport and the nearby neighborhood that were awaiting the city's decision to redevelop it; as always it is all about money and power
