deep fried taro biscuits 炸芋頭餅 - part 2

I have been craving for some deep fried taro biscuits 炸芋頭餅. I picked up some clams and a package of taro.


shucking the cooked clams
add chopped scallions
grate taro
mix with garlic powder and fish sauce
good fish sauce - i would only buy these two brands; they are cheap and excellent
i had used these taro cake molds that i bought back from hong kong but the taro would not release from the stainless steel cup (this go shows stainless steel is one of the worst metal for cookware)
necessity is the mother of all invention - i decided to use one of my cookie cutter instead
it actually works quite well - the pan is too shallow to hole enough oil

i do have to flip the biscuits to cook the other side
