Just some small progress on the projects for Isolde.
We have been having a few periods of summer like weather. Today is pushing 90 F.

I finally got around to the job of trimming off the excess length of the mounting bolts for the cup holder "tool bar" track. While it may seem a trivial task determining the precise length is important as there is not much room for error, constrained by having enough for adjustment and installation onto the track, but as short as possible to allow the thumb wheel to turn pass it.
here you see the interference of the thumb wheel
one solution is to add a spacer to move the thumb wheel outboard; however the long bolt that holds the two halves of the arm together would be a bit short (RAM's dimensions are always precisely dead on)
marked for cutting and then grinding
still interfering
I ground a radius corner on to the thumb wheel
here is one done
a second set I cut them a bit long so took a lot of grinding to get to the just-right length
I made up 2 set of the one-ball base
