porsche love - part 1

I am enslaved to my vehicles. When you drive them as fast as you skills capable the maintenance and operating costs can become quite substantial. I try to do all maintenance and repair work myself and so far I have done quite well. The Mini has never been touched by anyone, not even warranty work by the dealer.

You would not think one would want to buy parts from Rockauto for a Porsche GT car. The company is typically regarded as online discount auto parts for people who want to spend the least possible. I have no reservation if I've done my homework and use my intuitions. I know these oil filters are as good as the genuine Porsche OE replacement that costs many times more.

amongst the German brands Mahle is one of the few that can be trusted

these were made in Austria - which might as well be Germany

rather than keep buying expensive Porsche OEM air filter I invested in a set of K&Ns; the GT4 takes two

Walmart has the best price for engine oil that is approved by Porsche; this is the same oil I buy for Brunnhilde

the GT4 at Oregon Raceway Park a few weeks ago

this other GT4 was the colour combination that I originally wanted but could not find; slowly I warmed up to the pure white and now I am very happy with

these tires were almost new but these are much they are worn after two days of race track driving - just 300 miles to be exact

Driving a performance car on track the biggest expenses typically are tires, followed by brakes. To no surprise there is a saying of where the tire meets the road that counts.
