vehicle tracking for brunnhilde and isolde

I have been testing this vehicle tracking device lately. My plan is to install one in Brunnhilde and one in Isolde. While there are few rough edges so far I have been quite happy with the choice. There are a lot of things you can do with it, in addition to some optional accessories such as video camera and shock sensor. With some technical skill and think out of the box ideas, you can expand its functionality further by interfacing to your own home brewed gadgets, or interact with an existing anti thief system.

Like all security devices there is no perfect systems. The more you are willing to throw money at it the better it can be. Good security involves multi-prong approach. The most important is your own action and keen awareness of the environment of where you go and what you do. I chose this system based on my need, my emphasis, and my budget. With some shopping around I was able to find very affordable prepaid cellular plan.

Installing a vehicle tracking device in Isolde is especially desired. I have read many stolen VW Vanagon Campers and Vanagon Syncros in the Pacific Northwest recently. With all of them now over 25 years old the ones in good condition are highly sort after. The most blatant thefts involves the use of a tow truck or flatbed. Design over 3 decades ago Vanagons are very easy to hot wired. In the case of Brunnhilde the power train management computer and the built-in anti-theft system is virtually unbreakable. However organized crime professionals are known to swap in their own power train management computer, or haul it away on a flatbed towtruck.
