this and that - oregon oct 2015

For some reason I just discovered this post was not published, or somehow published but reverted to not published.

it is that time again - engine oil and filter service for Brunnhilde; diesel engines do require more frequent oil change and the oil get contaminated quite fast

i took the cylinder head cover off to inspect any sign of black death that plagues some high mileage T1N Sprinter 5-cylinder engine
 cylinder 1 and 2
 cylinder 2 and 3
cylinder 4 and 5 - all has no trace; this is the second time i carried out this inspection
going forward I will increase the time interval of this inspection unless there is diesel smell in the cab in hot days

i am getting to really like these lightly salted mackerel

the infra broiler in this Japanese gas stove make it a snap to broil the mackerel

i broil it on the skin side first and then flip it over to brown the flesh side
this is a $2.25 snack full of omega 3 fat
happy to see these ducks in the creek near my house
i went to a Shell Lubrication supplier to buy a case of Shell ATF134 for upcoming transmission fluid and filter service

 broiled salmon
 broiled salmon and spinach
i am confronting the challenge of how best to secure the two batteries in Isolde
this is a steam dish with pork, Chinese salted fish, cuttlefish, Mexican dried prawns, and cabbage
