an anatomy of a simple dish - part 1

 

Often when I make a simple dish for time and labor expedience there are more than the preparation time for that meal. Likely I use ingredients that are prepared ahead of time, and in bulk. A stock base and marinaded meat, seafood, and shiitake mushrooms are some examples.

this is the last pack of beef from the 1/4 cow that I bought back in 2013!

this marinading consists of two steps

the second step is seasoning and oil added

the marinading of the peeled shrimps also was done in two steps; both these will be used in many meals


this Japanese aluminum tray is excellent in holding the ingredients during a dish preparation
